Amnesty International Club
Amnesty International Club writes letters to people in countries all over the world. Amnesty International works to free prisoners of conscience (individuals jailed solely for their beliefs, sex, or ethnic origin who have not used or advocated violence), to ensure fair trials for all political prisoners, and to abolish torture and executions worldwide.

Apotheosis Literary Magazine
As a student-run organization, Apotheosis produces an annual arts and literature magazine each spring. The magazine selects art and literary pieces for publication from original submissions by students and staff members.

Astronomy Club
The Astronomy Club is for all students that have interest in matters beyond our skies! We meet one to two times per month after school for fellowship and updates on "star parties" and what's happening in our universe above out Earth. Parents are invited to attend "star parties" [sky observation with telescope(s)] which we try to schedule at least twice in the early morning and at least twice in the evening throughout the school year.

The bandstanders are the parent's organization to help fund trips for Spirit of St. Louis Band.
Character Council
A group of student reps chosen from all groups/organizations at Lindbergh who meet to plan ways to enhance character through improved communication and collaborative activities at LHS.
Cheerleaders
Varsity Cheerleaders - chosen by tryouts in the spring of the preceding year. They cheer home and away games of varsity football, soccer, boys basketball, and home games of varsity girls basketball. Approximately 16 girls are on the squad. Junior Varsity Cheerleaders - chosen by tryouts in the spring of the preceding year. Color Guard
The Color Guard performs marching and flag routines at half-time for the home football games, marches in the Homecoming Parade, and participates in a Marching Band competition. Other activities may also arise throughout the year. We begin practice in August and will continue through November. Clinic and tryouts are held each Spring for the following year. No prior experience is needed.

DECA is an association of marketing students. This organization focuses on leadership development, vocational understanding, reinforcement of academic skills and knowledge, civic consciousness and social intelligence. This club is only for marketing students.

Flight Team
Flight Team serves as an advisory committee to the principal, concerning issues, challenges, and opportunities at Lindbergh High School. The make-up of this group must be balanced to give a true picture of the high school population. We want all ages, races, genders, and any special interest group represented. If you are interested in serving on the Flight Team, please fill out an application. A committee of students will review the applications to ensure a range of types according to the group's present needs and will notify you as soon as possible.

This is a student-led group for the enhancement, promotion and enjoyment of the beautiful language of French. The club meets monthly in cultural enriching activities.

Past activities include a fondue party, polka dancing with live music, German films and cartoons, our annual Gingerbread House competition,Oktoberfest and Maifest, to name a few. German Club is open to any student of German who wishes to participate.

Green Machine
We are the student partner of the Lindbergh High School Character Education Program. Green Machine is the pep club at LHS which promotes spirit and student attendance at all Lindbergh games and performances. To become a member, they must sign a GM code of character and be respectful and have fun at all Lindbergh events.

Key Club is a service organization for both the school and community. We work with and are supported by the Crestwood/Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club. Membership is open to any student interested in being of help to others. Meetings are held twice a month on Wednesdays with monthly projects usually held on the weekends.

Link Crew
Lindbergh's juniors and seniors will be trained in team building activities, cooperative skill development, and discussion skills. Each of these Link Leaders then reveives a list of 10 freshmen to telephone and personally invite to the orientation, to work with at orientation, and to stay in touch with throughout the school year. They become leaders, motivators, role models, and teachers.

LOOP
Lindbergh Organization of Optimistic Parents is the parent partner of the Character Ed Program at LHS. We promote community attendance to Lindbergh High School activities. To be a part of the LOOP, the parents must sign a LOOP Code of Character and come to the games and performances of the students. We do not have any fundraising(except for hosting the concession stand at the Green and Gold). The money we raise there, provides helium balloons and candy for the students at the LOOP/Green Machine events at school.

Mock Trial
Prepare and present trials. These trials are part of a St. Louis competition program. Students are either lawyers or witnesses and work with a local attorney. Anyone can join this program who is willing to work hard. We begin meeting in late fall and the competitions are held January-May.

Model United Nations
Model United Nations is a program that brings together students from throughout the St. Louis area to discuss international issues. The program culminates in a Model UN conference in which students represent an actual member country of the United Nations and work with other delegates to solve real problems that have faced the UN.

Mu Alpha Theta Mu Alpha Theta, the Lindbergh HS math club, is an organization that sponsors school-related math activities such as Problem of the Month, Egg Drop and Pi day, competes in local competitions and has fun doing all of it regardless of mathmatical knowledge.

Robotics Club The Robotics club competes in the BEST Robotics competition in the fall through St Louis University. The team is given a box of parts from which to build a robot and a specific game in which the robot needs to compete. We then have 6 weeks to design build and test the robot. The competition generally runs in the middle of October. In 2005 the Lindbergh team won the Biliken regional and went to Arkansas to compete in the regional competition.

SPIRIT Yearbook
Students use desk-top publishing skills to product the Spirit , the All American, and All Missouri award winning yearbook. Students decide editorial content with guidance from advisor, write and edit stories, take photographs, and design/lay out pages. After writing a story, writing captions and interviewing for quotes, and cropping their photos to fit the layout they design.

Student Council is an organization that supports, promotes, and nurtures all aspects of student life at Lindbergh High School, while at the same time providing opportunities by which members' leadership skills may be developed and improved. Membership is by school wide election in the spring. Students new to the Lindbergh School District may apply for membership in the fall, at which time two additional members may be selected.

Thespian Society (Troupe 2533)/Drama Club The purpose of the LHS Thespian Society/drama club is to promote an interest in all aspects of the theatre arts. All LHS students, grades 9 through 12, are eligible to join in the monthly meetings, movie nights, talent show, improv program, and other varied activities. Participation in events allows students to accumulate credit hours toward eligibility in the International Thespian Society---a prestigious honor society recognized by colleges and universities around the world. Membership in the LHS Thespian Society/drama club is not required to participate in the high school plays and musical.

Tri-M Music Honor Society The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for high school students that motivates and recognizes musical achievement. Through over 3,200 chartered chapters, thousands of students have received recognition for their efforts and honor for musical accomplishments. Tri-M strives to increase student and school involvement with music and to strengthen and unify the school music program. Tri-M members participate in service projects, concerts and recitals, and work to benefit the music department as a whole. Students are invited to apply for membership after completing one semester in any music course offered at the high school. Students must have maintained a "B" average in music courses, with at least a "C" average in other academic subjects.

Missouri Youth In Government (YIG) A statewide educational program that prepares young people for responsible leadership in the American democratic process by providing guidance, training, and experience in the theory and practice of etermining public policy. Students are able to particpiate in the legislative or judicial branch of government. They also have the opportunity to be lobbyists or media specialist. The program culminates with a state convention in Jefferson City in which participants are allowed to run the government for a day from the actual Capitol building.
